In Visual Design our project area for this week was infographics and data visualization. I actually super love making infographic designs, so this one was a lot of fun for me. When we were in class and going over our ideas for data to present everyone looked at me like I was INSANE when I said “linguistic morphology!!” (With so much enthusiasm.) I don’t think this is what they imagined coming from that declaration.
Truth be told, I had hoped to make a winding road, and have “stops” on the road that were the data points – but then I got so upset with my design constraints that I went with a basic timeline infographic design instead. I used AI to generate the pagoda, camels, tea, tea cup, rainbow hearts, and drag queens. The background is also an AI generated “rainbow queer pattern” and I love how it came out and it blends the colors in a visually engaging pattern.
One of the best parts is how we go from hyper academic to feral modern goblincore queer aesthetic which makes me quite happy. Do we love her? Yes. Yes, we do.
